We visited a dormant volcano in the middle of Auckland. We had a spectacular 360 degree view of the city. This is a shot of downtown Auckland, showing the harbor and Skytower, the tallest freestanding structure in the southern hemisphere. Our hotel in Auckland was two blocks from the base of the tower.
